Dusted's Sam Frank, Sam Hunt, and Ben Tausig travel to Long Beach, California to document this year's All Tomorrow's Parties Pacific.

All Tomorrow's Parties

The second U.S. incarnation of the All Tomorrow's Parties festival, in which one artist/entertainer is given the opportunity to “curate” an entire festival, recently took place in Long Beach, California. This year’s ATP Pacific curator was Matt Groening, creator of The Simpsons and former music critic. The festival’s stages were located on the former cruise ship Queen Mary, and on a large field nearby. Attendees were free to wander from one stage to the other, and while it took a considerable amount of stamina, and an even more considerable amount of walking, it was quite possible to see portions of all of the festival’s twenty-nine acts. With cameras, notepads, and tape recorders in hand, Dusted’s Sam Frank, Sam Hunt, and Ben Tausig documented the event. All writing is specifically credited; all photos were taken by Sam Hunt and Ben Tausig.
